UTM supporters shun Chakwera in Mzuzu

United Transformation Movement (UTM) supporters are not among the people welcoming President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in Mzuzu.

Chakwera is in the north where he is scheduled to carry out a number of activities such as crop inspection, installation of Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe the 13th and others.

Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) and Malawi Congress party (MCP) supporters have mounted party clothes around the Mzuzu roundabout but missing on the list is UTM cloth.

UTM supporters are among the people who have welcomed President Chakwera in the North.

The move has attracted mixed reactions with many claiming that all is not well between UTM and MCP in the Tonse Alliance.

Effort to talk to UTM spokesperson Frank Mwenefumbo proved futile on the matter.
