Three fishermen found dead on Lake Malawi

Three dead bodies of unidentified fishermen, have been found, in three different fishing docks on Lake Malawi, in the district.

Sergeant Paul Malimwe, who is the District Police Spokesperson, said the law enforcers, have a report which indicates that , four fishers went fishing at Kacheche Fishing Dock in Salima, on 20th April, where their boat capsized and only one managed to swim ashore .

He said a search was launched, until bodies of the other fishermen, were found floating at Mtanga Fishing Dock, Manyamba Fishing Dock and Chongole Fishing Dock in Nkhotakota.

Postmortem results indicated that deaths were due to suffocation.
Burial of the bodies has already been conducted, as the remains were in decomposed state, according to police.
