Comedian cum politician Bon Kalindo has dragged a woman identified as Dollah Samson to court for alleged defamation and is demanding an apology from her.
Kalindo is also demanding Samson to pay him a sum of K50 million as compensation within seven days from May 4 else will face the long arm of the law.
Reports have it that Samson has been attacking Kalindo on WhatsApp groups for weeks now with an aim of assassinating his character.
According to a lawyer who is representing Kalindo, Samson created various groups on WhatsApp some include Winiko Mbava and Citizen Voice which she was using to castigate Kalindo.
“Some of the WhatsApp groups you have created and used as a platform to attack the reputation of our client include Winiko Mbava and Citizen Voice.
“We have further been informed that you added our client to these groups and you had the courage to add him back after he exited the groups.
“Your above conduct shows that you have clear intentions to injure the reputation of our client and indeed you have caused a great damage to his reputation and standing to all right-thinking members of the society,” reads part of the letter.
The lawyer added that the woman in question has been sending messages directly to Kalindo saying he is dishonest, thief, murderer, and corrupt politician.
Kalindo has also demanded that the said groups should be deleted in 48 hours.
