Mbwedzulu Primary School Teachers Transferred Over Witchcraft Claims

Teachers at Mbwedzulu primary school in Mangochi have been posted to other schools after being stormed by witchcrafts.

According to reports, the teachers have been under the influence of witchcrafts for a long time to the extent that sometimes they could see the witches live.

Head teacher for Mbwedzulu primary school (name withhold) said the teachers were under the influence of the witchcraft during night hours in their respective homes.

“At first I thought it was a joke when the teachers were complaining to me about all these things but when i started experiencing them, that was when i realized that something bigger than me is happening,” he said.

He added that during night hours they could hear someone knocking on their doors, walking on their roofs and hearing footsteps in their bedrooms, but after searching for the person they could find no one.

Annie Tambala, a resident in the community said the community is well known by magic things and powers.

“This is my village, i did not grow up here but I know exactly what my village is capable of doing, I have no doubt these teachers were experiencing a lot at night,” she commented

Upon hearing the situation that the teachers were facing, Chief Educational Officer (CEO) for Mangochi district decided to transfer all the teachers to other schools including the head teacher.
