Doctor Under Probe for publicising Martse’s Cause of Death

The Medical Council of Malawi (MCM) says it will investigate the conduct of a doctor who is believed to have revealed the death of musician Martin “Martse” Nkhata through his social media page, allegedly before seeking consent from the family.

Registrar of the Council, Davie Zolowere, says it is premature for the council to say whether he is guilty or not until the investigation is conducted.

The accused Chanozga Nyirenda has told Times that he shared the information because he was traumatized by the death of the musician.

Meanwhile, the President of the Society of Medical Doctors Dr. Victor Mithi says the society will take action on the matter.
