Man Arrested For Hacking His Brother With Knife And Wounding Parents In Ntchisi

Police in Ntchisi have arrested a 41-year-old man, Edward Chatambalala, for allegedly hacking to death his young brother with a knife and wounding his parents.

The incident according to the Police, happened in the wee hours of Monday at Chimtsekwa Village in the district.

It is alleged that Edward, while in full intoxication of alcohol stabbed his young brother, Jerico Chatambalala aged 24, without apparent reasons.

“After killing his own young brother, Edward stabbed his 91-year-old father on the chest before stabbing his mother at the back and on the arm.” Reads a Police Statement.

According to Yohane Tasowana, Public Relations Officer for Ntchisi Police Station says Chatambalala will appear before court soon to answer charges of murder and unlawful wounding.
