DJ Megi Blames Namadingo’s Producer Drumos Over Flopped Sugar Single

After being accused of being the reason why Patience Namadingo’s recent song Sugar failed to attain airplays due to poor production, DJ Megi has come out to clear his name.

Writing on Facebook page, DJ Megi said he never mixed nor mastered the song by Namadingo, according to him, he only sold the beat to the Mapulani hit maker and after he recorded a sample of the song, Namadingo asked for a full instrumental and jumped on it.

To his surprise, DJ Megi never received the full song after Namadingo and his team recorded it.

“Today allow me to break down what happened to Sugar song by Dr Namadingo, I sold a Beat of Sugar to Dr. so he then recorded a sample and send it to me. After that he asked for a full Instrumental and I also sent it to him but they never even send me the full song after they finished recording, I only heard the song itatuluka,” he wrote.

According to DJ Megi, Drumos mixed the song as if he was a mixing a choir song hence it received backlash from his fans.

So this guy Drumos I’ve always respected him but it seems like he lost it.

“A professional Producer don’t mix a song without separates of the Beat, how can you rearrange a Beat when you don’t even have stems of the Instrumental of Sugar and also Afro Beats sitimapanga mix ngati mmene umajambulira nyimbo zako za Choir,” DJ Megi blasts Drumos.

He then called on Drumos not to ruin his reputation by spreading that he (DJ Megi) decayed Namadingo’s Sugar single yet he only supplied a beat and he never mastered nor mixing the song.

DJ Megi who is Onesimus’ producer also revealed that he knew from the start that the song will not be praised as any of Namadingo’s song because he knew that it was not nice, but hyped it anyways.

“I tried at least to hype the song kuti maybe people will like it but deep down ndinkaziwa kuti the song its bad coz of how you guys did it instead of asking me if i have any idea,” he said.

Drumos is yet to respond.

On May 7, 2022 Namadingo released Sugar as his first song of this year after four months of plugging it that it will be the best song ever adding that it will be the beginning of a new of his followers well known as Namafans.

However, when the song was released, it was never praised instead it received backlash form his dear fans and accused him of trying so hard to sound like Onesimus.

Namadingo, received the criticisms with a sober mind and released another song Bafumu Bane which he got praises.

He later on deleted the Sugar song on his Youtube Chanel before releasing his new masterpiece Tikamadzapita produced by Drumos which has been warmly welcomed by many including those that are not Namafans.
