Controversial South Africa’s dancer Zodwa Wabantu has come out of her cocoon to clear the mist surrounding her banned show in Blantyre which is slatted for June 11, 2020.

The Minister of Tourism and Culture Michael Usi on Friday last week penned the organisers of the show to cancel it as it was deemed not fit for the country.

The announcement attracted a backlash from some Malawians who took to social media to express their sadness on the matter.

But speaking in a video clip currently being shared on social media, the dancer said she will be in the country to support the biggest artist of Amapiano in South Africa ‘Vukani.’

“Hi Malawi. Iam Zodwa Wabantu and am so excited to come to Malawi because its the biggest night of Amapiano so I won’t be performing but am coming as a guest to support the biggetst artist of Amapiano in South Africa which is Vukani.

“So am coming to support Vukani. I won’t perform, I will be fully dressed. I will just sit down, I will comply with the rules. I will just take pictures with my fans but the biggest night is for Vukani and Amapiano Festival in Malawi,” said Zodwa Wabantu.

Government is yet to comment on the matter.
