Namalomba attacks Judges after losing case against Nankhumwa

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Mangochi South West Shadreck Namalomba has attacked Judges in the country after losing a court case against leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa.

Namalomba obtained a stay order restraining Parliament from effecting the sitting plan as directed by Nankhumwa and the appointement of Shadow Cabinet.

In the ruling delivered on Thursday, Judge Mzonde Mvula, described the case as a political matter and condemned the claimant for obtaining the order which he said dragged the speaker into manipulation, to what her office should not do.

Judge Mvula , said the claimant used the back door against parliamentary privilage and by the same back door, he is booted out from the high court .

Writing on his official facebook page after the ruling Namalomba said the ruling is absurd.

“I have lost the case today. Sometimes you and more often you lose. That’s what life ought you to be. It’s a sad day for the rule of law. This judgment is sanitizing that impunity in Parliament is legally accepted. That you can abuse another, kill and get killed etc,” wrote Namalomba.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports indicate that Namalomba is planning to appeal the ruling.
