President Lazarus Chakwera has, at the ongoing Zikomo Presidential Awards, posthumously given a special award to the late Martin ‘Martse’ Nkhata.
Chakwera has recognized ‘Martse’ for his rap music which they said equally impacted on young people and adults.
The award was received by Martin’s parents Mr and Mrs Nkhata.
Martse died in June 2022 at Queens Elizabeth Central hospital in Blantyre, after a fire accident in Mangochi.
He was laid to rest at Area 18 Cemetery in Lilongwe.
