Update; ShopRite Landlord Expresses Ignorance On Client’s Exit

Chief Executive Officer for Eris Properties Ellen Chapinduka Nyasulu who is the landlord for South African retail chain ShopRite in Blantyre has said they have not received any communication that the shopping more is closing its business.

Chapinduka Nyasulu was reacting to social media reports that ShopRite is closing down its business operations in the country this year.

However, Chapinduka Nyasulu said they are yet to receive an exit notification from their client.

The reports are indicating that the rainbow nation chain retailer will be closing its outlets in phases and Blantyre’s Chichiri shop would be the last one.

Chapinduka-Nyasulu, added that they are equally just getting the information from the social media platforms as well.
