Mayor for Mangochi Municipal Council Edina Yusuf laid to rest

The body of Mayor for Mangochi Municipal Council Edina Yusuf Jose has been laid to rest at her home district.

Edina Yusuf died on Sunday morning at Mangochi District Hospital after a long illness.

Until her death, Edina Yusuf was serving as Councillor for the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) and Mayor.

Her death means the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) will hold by-elections in Ward to find replacement.
