Teacher arrested for defiling a 15-year-old learner in Nkhota-kota

Police in Nkhotakota have arrested a teacher at Mwalawambira Primary School in the district for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old learner from the school.

Nkhotakota Police Station Deputy Public Relations Officer Chisomo Chuma has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspect as 36-year-old Lusungu Musumbu.

According to Chuma, the suspect is alleged to have defiled the girl when he invited her at his house.

The suspect will appear in court soon.
