Wet Dreams: It’s Not Only A Man’s Thing

Wet dreams, that is a word, or precisely a phenomenon, that we almost unconsciously associate to men.

However that is not the case; women also have wet dreams. Getting up all pumped and wet down there ( in the genitals and nether regions) while sleeping is not uncommon among ladies. Here’s all you need to know about wet dreams in women.

What is a wet dream? Wet dream is referred to as nocturnal emission, with nocturnal relating to night and emission relating to sexual discharge.

It refers to a state of arousal and subsequent ejaculation in men. They may wake up to a hard penis that has just ejaculated.

For women, it refers to sexual arousal during sleep that leads to vaginal wetness and awaking to experience an orgasm.

However, some women sleep through their climax.

The ones who have orgasms while sleeping are not able to say with certainty if they had orgasm during their sleep or not but this is perfectly normal.

There is no specific way to control or stop wet dreams. However, it is believed that the frequency can be decreased in a multitude of ways.

One of the ways to prevent a wet dream is by increasing the frequency of sexual activity, resulting in more orgasms.

When you reach climax by getting intimate often, it decreases the frequency of having wet dreams.

This is because there is no buildup of sex hormones, thereby relieving the need for women to get wet during sleep.

In addition, reducing contact with the genitals and avoiding sleeping on your stomach can also be helpful in decreasing the frequency the dreams. In rare cases, wet dreams can be troublesome.
