The doppelganger reportedly charges R25,500 (US$1,500) for a meet and greet.
On 25 August, one Twitter user posted an image on her timeline of the Chris Brown lookalike with the caption, “Going To Be In Detroit This Weekend Meet & Greets $1500.”
The picture has since gone viral on the internet.
The doppelganger, identified as Tyson Wuthi, looks just like Chris Brown, and he would successfully play the singer’s double with ease in a movie.
Wuthi has blonde hair, just like the Loyal hitmaker, a nose ring, and similar tattoos on the neck and body.
He even walks around with an expensive-looking neck chain to spruce his look.
However, XXL reported that the Chris Brown lookalike has taken to social media to deny the claims that he is charging US$1,500 for a meet and greet, which is more than the US$1,000 that Chris Brown charges.
He retorted:
THESE ARE ALL LIES ABOUT ME…I HAVEN’T MADE AN AGREEMENT WITH ANYONE. I WOULD NEVER DO THAT… THE MEDIA LIES TO YOU JUST TO MAKE THAT FANS GET MAD AT ME…DON’T BELIEVE IT.
Regardless, social media users expressed shock while some had a good laugh at the claim that the Chris Brown lookalike charges US$1,500 for a meet and greet.
