Scramble For Fuel Continues In Kasungu

Date:

Information reaching this publication indicates that scramble for fuel continues this morning in Kasungu.

During spot check s by Zodiak, it has observed that out of eight fuel pump stations in the Central Business Area (CBA), only Meru Service Station has fuel stocks.

This has paralysed economic activity as people are queuing for hours on end to buy fuel.

Over the last weekend, the country was hit by shortage of fuel mostly experienced in the capital Lilongwe which was attributed a number of entertainment events that occurred in the city.

National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) through a statement released on Monday, it assured the general public it has enough fuel stocks and it will start distributing soon.
