Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga has said that former President Dr. Joyce Banda was a better leader than President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera of Tonse Alliance.
Chimbanga’s remarks follow the ongoing fuel crisis in the country despite several efforts to end the crisis.
Writing on his official facebook page Chimbanga wondered as to whether the Tonse Alliance is still intact or not considering the fact that Banda and her People’s Party (PP) is member and Chakwera can easily ask for guidance.
“Dr. Joyce Banda is far much a better leader than President Chakwera. She was able to resolve the fuel crisis within days. I wonder if she is at all consulted.
“I am beginning to think Tonse Alliance is a hoax. It doesn’t exist. It is MCP running the show,” wrote Chimbanga.
Effort to talk to Minister of Information Gospel Kazako on the matter proved futile.
