Malawi flag to fly at half-mast for 10 days in honour of Queen Elizabeth

President Lazarus Chakwera has ordered that flags in Malawi should, with immediate effect, fly at half-mast.

This has been said in a statement signed by Chief Secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba made available to faceofmalawi.

According to a statement,the flags will fly at half-mast for 10 days in respect for Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

The Queen, who was also head of the Commonwealth, died yesterday in Scotland.
