ACB arrests three Ward Councilors in Karonga

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested three Ward Councillors for Karonga District for allegedly duping vendors of K2.4 million in 2019.

ACB Public Relations Officer Egrita Ndala has confirmed of the arrest in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.

The three are Ngasalayumo Mwangonde, Councillor for Kaporo Ward, Smart Kayira, Councillor for Rukuru Ward and Steven Simsokwe for Chilanga Ward.

The three councilors will be charged with abuse office offence.
