WOMAN DONATES TO THE NEEDY

A United States of America (USA) based Malawian, Thandy Mwawu has donated assorted items including a wheelchair to a physically challenged person George Tembo who stays at Nkana Fudu Village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Mpherembe in Mzimba District.

On behalf of Mwawu, Jean Mkosi said Mwawu was touched after learning of Tembo’s challenges through social media, she thought it wise that she should help George by donating some items to help George Tembo.

“She heard about Tembo’s condition from one of her family members through social media platforms, in so doing she was touched and decided to help George by donating items like wheelchair,” said Mkosi.

Regina Tembo, a sister to George Tembo expressed gratitude for the donation saying it was hard for the family to take care of the brother due to lack of support facilities which could ease his regardless of his physical disabilities.

“It was hard for us to carry George around but we could not do otherwise because it is our responsibility as a family to take care of him, so with this things, we are happy as a family that we can now easily carry George around,” said Regina
