A couple from Dwangwa in Nkhotakota has died after the wife petrol bombed their house over alleged marital problems.
Nkhunga Police Public Relations Officer Thandiwe Maseko Mshanga has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Mshanga, the couple identified as Lingston James and Cecilia White who came from Nsanje died yesterday at Kamuzu central hospital in Lilongwe after sustaining burning wounds following the incident.
According to Mshanga, the wife reportedly decided to take the deadly action after finding her husband at his second wife’s home at Nyamvu area within Dwangwa Illovo Sugar Company’s camp in the lakeshore district, after he allegedly lied to her that, he was going to a farm.
