Grace Chinga’s tombstone re-constructed after vandalism, unveiled again

The family of the late gospel musician Grace Chinga has re-constructed the tombstone of the songbird which was vandalized by unknown people at Henry Henderson Institute (HHI) cemetery last year.

The unknown people ransacked the tombstone in October last year and the reason for the action was not clear.

Late Grace Chinga’s daughter Miracle Mpukunya has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on her official facebook page.

“After what happened finally look at mamie’s home .. we were not supposed to do this tombstone unveiling again 2022 since we already did it years back,who are we to say anything but God allowed it happen second time in this way round Amen with God indeed all things are possible.

“Zinatu mulungu amazileka dala kuti zichitikeso kuti ukulu wake uonekere zikomo ambuye,” wrote Miracle.

The unveiling ceremony of the new tombstone took place last week at HHI Cemetery.

Grace died on March 16, 2016 after a short illness.
