Fake nurse arrested at Bolero Health Centre in Rumphi

Police in Rumphi are keeping in custody a 23 year old woman identified as Febie Mfune of Wayanga Village under Traditional Authority Chikulamayembe for impersonating a nurse.

Rumphi Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Tupeliwe Kabwilo has confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press.

According to Kabwilo, on Monday 24th October the suspect reported at Bolero health centre as a new trained nurse sent to work by Rumphi district health office.

Kabwilo said when she was asked to produce documents allowing her to work at the facility she failed, and she was advised by the In-charge to bring relevant documents.

On 27 October she reported back to work and was in uniform but without the said documents.

This prompted the incharge to call the police for further investigations, after questioning, she revealed that she only liked the job and has never attended any nursing course.
