ABE DONATES COMPUTERS TO COLLEGES

The Advancing Business Education (ABE) has donated 60 computers worth k14 million in Malawian colleges.

ABE Director for Africa Kareesa Carrington-Nunez said the move is aimed at providing increased access to e-learning and technology in the country.

“We believe that education is at the heart of global sustainability and we are glad to see that our partnership with the institutions of higher learning collaborates well for such a noble cause, helping to fill the gap which is there in computer literacy among students,” she said.

The ABE Managing Director for Malawi Doreen Maluk said the Malawi government 2063 blueprint has a deliberate agenda to embrace digital transformation and an economy that thrives on information technology, adding that to support the effort, the education sector needs to channel out towards the digital transformation drive.

These computers were donated in four higher learning institutions including Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), PACT College, Soche Technical and International College of Business Management (ICBM).

Representative for Soche Technical College Limbani Mwale expressed his gratitude to ABE for the support.

“Technology is the fastest and most efficient way to provide the education we need in today’s ever-changing world,” he said. “Thank you ABE for helping to change lives,” he said.

ABE is not-for-profit skills development specialist awarding organisation that provides internationally recognised qualifications, learning, credentials and quality assurance in the fields of business management, Human Resource and Marketing.
