Malawians are happy with Chakwera administration – Chimwendo Banda

Richard Chimwendo Banda, leader of the house in Parliament has said Malawian are happy with the administration of President Lazarus Chakwera.

Speaking in parliament yesterday, Chimwendo Banda who is serving as Minister of Sports claimed that each and every Malawian who voted for Chakwera in 2020 is contented with how the president is running the government affairs.

Chimwendo Banda’s remarks came in following a call by Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa to have Chakwera appear before the August House to answer questions regarding Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) director general Martha Chizuma.

According to Nankhumwa, it was disappointing to hear that government was not aware of Chizuma’s arrest hence a call to have the president appear before the legislatures to answer questions on the matter.

Chimwendo then added that Chakwera is the only president in the country who has dedicated his time to go to Parliament to answer questions on issues happening in the country from the Members of Parliament unlike other presidents.
