Veteran photo-journalist Dickie Milanzi dies

Death has been announced of a veteran media personality Dickie Milanzi.

According to a statement from the Facebook page of Minister of Information Gospel Kazako Milanzi whom he described as a father of photo-journalism in Malawi died today.

“The media fraternity has today lost an icon. We have lost Uncle Dickie Milanzi whom I wouldn’t hesitate to call the father of photo-journalism in Malawi,” said Kazako.

He added; “Uncle Milanzi, words fail us. Your departure into God’s kingdom and oasis drains us but we are comforted by your legacy and contribution to the media industry.”

However, Kazako did not give much details on the cause of Milanzi’s death but he extended his condolences to his family and the whole media family.
