Well-known social commentator cum-right activist Joshua Chisa Mbele has accused the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera of plotting to kill him for being critical of the Tonse Alliance.
Chisa Mbele made the claims through a post on his official facebook page seen by this publication.
According to Chisa Mbele, Chakwera has already paid the hired thugs money amounting to Mk51, 493, 538.00.
“On Account & On Request of MCP killing executive. I will be joining you very soon. They have agreed to kill me.
“I’m not worried about me. The same way you never worried about your own life,” reads in part an open letter addressed to his mother.
Added the letter: “I’m worried about my children. Please speak to Chakwera to spare me.
“I also want to raise my children to the age of his children.”
Government is yet to comment on Chisa Mbele’s claims.
