A 50-year-old man identified as Joseph Jumbo of Kachilala Village under Traditional Authority Jalavikuba in Mzimba has died after being hit by a motorcycle at Bwengu turn off last night.
According to police in the district Jumbo was hit when he was crossing the road from left to right hand side.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Tupeliwe Kabwilo says due to the impact, Jumbo sustained severe head injuries and was taken to Rumphi district hospital where he died while receiving medical treatment.
The rider Frank Gama,31, of Maganga Village under Traditional Authority Jalavikuba in Mzimba was riding unregistered Motorcycle from Rumphi Boma going to Bwengu.
