CHAM employees to be on govt’s payroll

The Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) said the long awaited payroll migration into the government’s Human Resources Management information System (HRMIS) will be effected in February 2023.

According to CHAM’s Executive Director, Happy Makala, the ministry of health has already made some necessary progress to the directorate of human resources and management for the payroll migration to be started.

In addition to that, Executive Director for Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN), George Jobe, said they believe that the move will encourage health workers in CHAM hospitals.

For over the years, employees under CHAM have been asking government to match salaries and other benefits with those in the public health system.
