Celebrated poet Q Malewezi set to release new album ‘Son of a Preacher’s Son’ on April 1, 2023

Renowned poet Q Malewezi has announced that he will be launching his new album, “Son of a Preacher’s Son,” on April 1, 2023 at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe.

On December 23, 2022, he released the first single from the album, titled “Father and Son.”

The artist states that this album is different from his previous works in that it combines music and poetry.

He promises that people will be able to experience the beauty of both music and poetry during the launch of the album, which features a number of youthful artists such as Sindi, Paul Kachala and Seven O More.

In “Father and Son,” Q Malewezi, son of the late former vice president Justin Malewezi, delves into the emotions of grief.

The founder of the Living Room Poetry Club in Lilongwe has two poetry anthologies, “The Road Taken” and “Little Discoveries.”

Last year, Q achieved great success including starring in the Requiem for Justice 2022 in Mexico and Poetry Africa in South Africa.
