Police in Kasungu have arrested a sex worker aged 37 for forcing a 15 year old girl to engage in sexual activity.
The sex worker has been identified as Mtunduwatha Mwalimu from Mchekera village, Traditional Authority Santhe in Kasungu.
This occurred between January 3 to January 11, 2023 at Mchekera village in the area of Traditional Authority Santhe in the district.
The 15 year old girl started staying with Mwalimu after she had some misunderstandings with her sister.
Mwalimu started forcing the little girl to sleep with men, and started arranging different men for the child.
Police at Chigodi Police unit were informed and started following the issue, whereby the child revealed that she has with four men on different occasions.
Currently Mwalimu is in police custody and will appear in court soon.
