Two nabbed for stealing in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe are keeping in custody Abel Chipelesi, 34 and Joseph Maliro, 39 for stealing items from Central Region Water Board (CRWB) two days ago.

Lilongwe police Public Relations Officer Hastings Chigalu said they have managed to recover the items that the two suspects stole.

Chigalu revealed that the suspects stole 231 Bip Taps worth K5 million, three desktop computers worth K3.6 million, 107 Stock Cork worth K1.5 million, leather boots and other items all valued at K12.4 million from the CRMB stores.

Police have since recovered all the desk computer sets, one of the seven leather boots, two of seven work suits, reams of photocopying paper and other items.
