The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is expected to relocate to Lilongwe ahead of the 2025 general election.
MEC spokesperson Sangwani Mwafulirwa has confirmed the development.
“I can confirm Mec headquarters will be relocated to LIlongwe and Ministry of lands has designated Development House to house in staff,” Mwafulirwa said.
Mwafulirwa was quick to point out that the relocation is based on a resolution by MEC commissioners.
