Police at Nkhunga in Nkhotakota have made an arrest in connection to a recent break-in at a phone accessory shop.

A 25-year-old man, Sumaili Lyton, has been taken into custody on suspicion of breaking into Alexander Kaunda’s shop and stealing items worth K5.2 million.

According to Thandiwe Mshanga, the police public relations officer at Nkhunga, the break-in took place at Dwangwa trading center yesterday.

The suspect stole a total of 24 cellphones, 81 keypad LCD screens, 47 cellphone batteries, 30 touch screens, 20 pieces of wrappers, and 439 pairs of shoes.
