ESCOM NEEDS MORE THAN 200 POLES IN ITS RESTORATION OF POWER

The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) needs more than 200 poles to be re-erected in areas that were damaged by Cyclone Freddy in order to recover from its effects.
According to Public relations Manager for Escom, Kitty Chingota the power provider is overwhelmed with work due to the damages caused by cyclone but the team is making sure that all customers have power.
Chingota also added that Escom is trying to make high voltage lines during the restoration process especially to service providers like Hospitals and water boards.
