A man identified as Rashid Kadyandawa has died after being hit by soya beans which was in the silos at Mount Meru Factory in Dowa District.
The incident happened on Monday afternoon of April 10 2023 at Mount Meru Millers Factory in Dowa.
It is reported that at around 16:00 hours, Kadyandawa was working at Mount Meru Millers Factory as a labourer and at the time of the incident he (Kadyandawa) was working with other labourers at the silos.
Unfortunately, soya beans came abundantly and covered Kadyandawa completely.
Effort was made to rescue him but unfortunately he was found already dead after being removed from the silos.
The dead body was taken to Dowa District Hospital pending postmortem today Tuesday, April 10 2023.
The deceased hailed from Kachule Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kachere in Dedza District.
