Government commends parliament’s role in budgeting

Leader of the house Richard Chimwendo Banda has commended Member of Parliament for their support throughout the budget.

Banda has said the the August house has been good even though there’s was some disruption of two weeks because of cyclone Freddy.

Banda said is well pleased with the assembly meeting as parliament passed 13 bills that of national interest and that will serve Malawians.

Banda has also assures Malawians that the Parliament Committee will scrutinize figure of the budget to make sure that whatever that has been discussed is implemented to achieved the goal.

Banda also added that they are working to come up with comprehensive support to people who are affected by cyclone Freddy in the southern region.

Meanwhile Leader of the opposition Kondawani Nankhumwa  ask government to introduce long ,medium or short term solution to people who are in camps.

Nankhumwa said government should spell out measure of financial support for construction of houses and introduce social cash transfer of 100 thousand to people affected with cyclone.
