President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has returned home from United Kingdom where he attended the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Chakwera arrived in the country through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe and he was welcomed by Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima and other government top officials.
While in UK, Chakwera met Chief Executive Officer of East Africa Power Ltd (EAP) where they discussed a number of issues including upcoming investment, the Mbongozi hydroelectric power plant, which will upscale power generation capacity in Malawi.
Chakwera also attended a business network meeting with the UK-Malawi Chamber of Commerce, an initiative.
