Convict Henry Mussa’s bail ruling adjourned to June 6

Former Minister of Information Henry Mussa and former Director of Information Gideon Munthali have applied for appeal of their conviction and 8-year jail sentence.

Lawyer representing Munthali, Crispin M’dala has confirmed having applied for the appeal.

On Friday, lawyers representing the two applied for bail, pending their appeal.

Meanwhile High Court Judge Justice Edah Ngwira has set aside June 6 to rule on whether or not to release them on bail pending appeal

Mussa and Munthali were not present during the bail application hearing.
