Hearing of bail application pending appeal by former Minister of information Henry Mussa and former director of information Gideon Munthali is currently underway at the High Court in the capital Lilongwe.

One of applicants lawyers Gilbert Khonyongwa has told the court that among others, Mussa is applying for the bail pending appeal on grounds of poor health and that there is high likelihood that his appeal will pass.

Judge Eda Edai Ngwira is presiding over the matter.

The two were arrested in connection with disappearance of 10 computers and a genset at the ministry of information.

They were convicted of conspiracy to commit a felony, theft by public servant and receiving stolen items.
