Rwandan government has asked the ministry of homeland security in Malawi to repatriate more than five-five individuals who are wanted for war crimes.

Homeland Security Minister Ken Zikhale Ng’oma  has confirmed the development saying that they have has received a request from the Rwandan government.

This request has come in light of recent revelations that some refugees have obtained Malawian passports and are engaging in illegal activities in the wake of the relocation exercise.

Ng’oma has said that the government has initiated a wide-range head count of refugees and asylum seekers to identify and facilitate the repatriation of those individuals sought by Rwanda.

Meanwhile Ng’oma has also urged all refugees and asylum seekers who possess weapons to surrender them to the police as soon as possible.
