A man identified as Alfred Mailosi, a security guard ghas been killed by thugs in Nsanje. The thugs also managed to get away with groceries worth K1.8 million, airtime scratch cards and K100,000 cash at a shop that Mailosi was operating.
According tom Nsanje Police Station spokesperson Agnes Zalakoma, Mailosi was murdered early on Sunday at a shop belonging to a Mackson Said, at Mbangu Trading Centre, under Traditional Authority Malemia.
She said the shop owner discovered blood stains on the verandah which led him to the bush where he discovered Mailosi’s body.
Police came and found that the security guard had been strangled with a rope and had head injuries inflicted by blunt objects.
Currently, the police have launch a hunt for the suspects.
