Atupele retires from retirement, to contest as President in 2025 polls

Former United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Austin Muluzi has come out on the open and declare his interest to contest as President in the forthcoming 2025 Presidential polls.

The development comes barely a year after he announced his resignation as President of UDF.

The young Muluzi left the leadership mantle to Liliani Patel.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with one of the local television station (Times Television) Muluzi said he will be on the ballot in 2025.

He also hinted that the party will soon be holding an elective conference where he will also contest as President of the party.

UDF party is currently conducting mega rallies across the country with the latest being a rally which was held in Mzuzu.

The rallies are aimed at celebrating 30th anniversary celebrations.
