Chikwawa Police Arrest Suspected Serial Robber, Recover K12 Million in Stolen Goods

Chikwawa police have apprehended a 40-year-old man named Austin Kaleya, who is suspected of being responsible for a series of robberies within the district.

The police spokesperson, Sergeant Dickson Matemba, has confirmed the arrest and stated that they have recovered assorted items valued at K12 million in connection with the case.

According to Sergeant Matemba, the police initiated their investigations after receiving a tip-off about the suspect’s involvement in house break-ins in villages located in Chikwawa boma and Dyeratu trading center.

Kaleya is expected to appear before court soon.
