Man found dead in Amalika forest in Thyolo

A 45 year-old man, Stanzio Gongoni, has been found dead in Amalika forest in Thyolo.

He had reportedly gone there to cut grass a week ago.

The village head woman, Sakoma, has stated that the burnt body of the deceased was discovered yesterday, after a search in the forest.

As a result, Sakoma told the press that angry individuals from four other villages assaulted three security guards at the forest office who are feared dead.

The Limbe police and Mulli Brothers Limited, who own the forest says they are currently investigating the incident.
