Former FCB Nyasa Bullets Defender Daud Sanudi Dies

Former FCB Nyasa Bullets (then known as Bata bullets) towering defender Daud ” Amuna” Sanudi passed on at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in the evening on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

He succumbed to injuries he sustained after he was attacked by thugs in Zingwangwa Township some few days back.

His younger brother Majid has confirmed the demise of the former footballer.

Sanudi was among a group of youngsters drafted into Senior Bullets team from the reserve side, together with the likes of Christopher John Banda, Rajesh Janat and shot stopper Charles Chinombo.

He was also part of national team under 23 setup together with the likes of Towani Zimba, Wilfred Nyalugwe and Ojukwu Malunga.

The former towering defender was born into a family of footballers, whereby his younger brothers Majid and Swadick played for FCB Nyasa bullets.

While Mussa and Yussuf starred for Hardware stars and Admarc Tigers respectively.
