Angry villagers set ablaze minibus of suspected thieves in Ntchisi

Information reaching this publication indicates that angry villagers have set ablaze a minibus used by suspected thieves in the area of Sub Traditional Authority Kanyenda in Ntchisi District.

The angry villagers have also mercilessly beaten two suspected thieves who were caught red-handed stealing bags of maize in the house a man in the area.

An eye witness only identified as Elliot Masula has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Masula, the thieves were four in total and two managed to escape from the scene.

It is said that the thieves last night invaded the house the victim and started parking the bags of maize and one of the villagers saw them tipped the owner.

The owner shouted for help and managed to apprehend the two.

The suspected thieves have since been handed to police.
