Heavy Winds Leave Over Four Injured and Homes Damaged in Nkhotakota (See Photos)

Over four people have sustained minor injuries following heavy winds that ripped off houses in Nkhotakota.

The affected areas, Senior Chief Mwadzama and Traditional Authority Kalimanjira, have left some victims seeking refuge in churches and mosques, as reported by Abdullah Aidi.

George Zibophe, the district’s acting disaster risk management officer, noted that the incident last night impacted over 250 households in these areas.

This event follows a recent hailstorm in the lakeshore district’s Traditional Authority Mphonde area, leaving several people homeless and destitute.

The residents affected by the destructive winds in Nkhotakota are grappling with the aftermath as they seek shelter and support.
