Embattled Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, an American rapper and music executive has stepped down as chairman of the television business Revolt TV.

The company justified the move on its Instagram page on Tuesday, saying it was important to allow Revolt to focus on its goal.

“Sean Combs has stepped down as chairman of Revolt,” according to the statement. While Mr. Combs has previously had no operational role in the company, this move helps to guarantee that Revolt remains steadfastly focused on our purpose to create significant material for culture and amplify the voices of all Black people in this country and the African diaspora.”

Revolt was founded by Diddy alongside media executive Andy Schuon in 2013, aimed at showcasing hip-hop culture and Black voices in the United States.
