Education authorities in Rumphi have confirmed the missing of one of the teachers at Chitimba primary school in the district.
Primary Education Advisor (PEA) for Luwuchi education zone Jane Harawa confirmed of the incident on Monday by saying that Laban Mhango went missing on November 27, 2023.
She said on this date Mhango went to Rumphi boma to collect his salary at one of the banks but never returned home.
According to Harawa, the missing person is on medication suffering from mental illness and this is not the first time to go missing.
Meanwhile the district police Spokesperson Sub Inspector Noel Kamchenga has asked for more time before commenting.
